Preparing for your baby photoshoot
Babies are such an amazing gift and becoming a parent regardless of whether it’s for the first or fifth time, is one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences of one’s life. Throughout your baby’s first year he or she will go from being a tiny helpless ball in your arms to a thriving toddler tornado. In-between that time you have all of the fun firsts to looking forward to from the first time your baby wakes with a smile to a full belly laugh at the simplest thing.
A few extra suggestions to help you get the most out of your session:
• Be prepared for Mum and/or Dad to take part in some of the shots in order to capture those special moments of you together.
• Talk about any particular ideas or images you would like me to capture and we will accommodate these wherever possible in order to make your session personal to you.
• Think about any personal items such as a favourite toy or teddy bear that you would like to include in the photos.
Arriving at the Studio
Please try and arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time so that we do not overrun and have enough time to get the best pictures we can. It’ll also give you plenty of time to relax and feel comfortable before the fun starts! When you arrive at the studio you’ll be able to see samples of some of our work and amazing wall art in The Photo Cafe. This is also the chance for us to discuss what type of pictures you’d like us to create. Arrive early enough and they’ll certainly be time for a delicious hot chocolate or flat white before your session.
Your baby photoshoot
We allow an hour for each baby photoshoot so there’s plenty of time for varies poses and looks during the shoot. In terms of clothing, it is best to bring a couple of change of outfits. We have a variety of backgrounds from simple white to bright and colourful. There’s also plenty of blankets and wraps for your baby.
After your baby shoot
At the end of your photo session we will arrange a convenient time for you to return for your personal viewing appointment where you will then get to view your edited photos. Any additional family members are always welcome too.
Questions you might have about your baby shoot
I’m afraid not. Photography and videography is not permitted in the studio.
