Our Croydon portrait studio has be designed to make your maternity Photoshoot relaxing and our professional photography team will unsure you are comfortable enough to us to create beautiful images of your pregnancy. A maternity photoshoot is more than the perfect memento of an amazing journey into parenthood. The style and theme of your maternity photoshoot can be as unique as your pregnancy. Pregnancy Photoshoot

We’ve been photographing pregnancy shoots since we established our family portrait business back in 2009. It has been a delight to watch families grow from their first maternity photoshoot with us. It’s often the case that families return with their second, third and even forth pregnancies for a completely different style of family maternity photoshoot. It doesn’t matter if this is your first pregnancy shoot or you have a whole crowd ready to bring to the studio. We’ll happily accommodate the whole family or just you and your partner (they don’t have to be in the pictures but we do try and coax them in).

Your Maternity Photoshoot

Each pregnancy shoot normally takes about an hour. Feel free to arrive early and enjoy a drink in our Photo Cafe before your photoshoot. We’ll discuss with you the type of images you’d like us to create. In the photo studio we have a changing room and Hollywood style mirrors for you to touch up make up and adjust your hair. During your maternity photoshoot there’s plenty of time for outfit and background changes. There are numerous ways in which we approach your bump photos. Our style craves simplicity and elegance but there’s certainly also plenty of room for fun!

Viewing and ordering your Maternity Photos

Once your maternity shoot is complete we’ll book in a viewing and ordering appointment for you. Your viewing is normally booked in a week after your photo shoot, leaving us plenty of time to beautifully edit all of your stunning pregnancy photos. When you return to the studio and our viewing lounge you’ll be treated to a slideshow video of your photos. We’ll then guide you through the process of selecting and ordering your favourite photos.

How to prepare for your maternity photoshoot?

We always recommend that you bring a couple of outfit changes for your maternity photo session. When choosing your outfits it is best to keep things as simple as possible. A figure hugging black dress is always lovely as are plain blog colours.

Strips also work well as they really show off the bump!

What kind of maternity pictures do you want?

The most popular pregnancy photos are usually simply posed and beautiful lit images that show off a little bit of bump. Couples photos are always popular, especially with first time parents. If this isn’t your first child then it is always nice to get older siblings in the photos. Sometimes they are ones most excited about the pregnancy and it makes for some adorable pictures.

What's next after maternity photoshoot?

Most maternity photography sessions are usually followed by a newborn photoshoot a few weeks later.

We encourage any expectant parent to have a maternity photography studio shoot beforehand.
