Maternity photos at our Croydon Studio
As your baby photographer the first time we might meet you is for a pregnancy photo shoot. We know that after months of morning sickness, heartburn and a general feeling of not amazingness a maternity photography session might not be top of your agenda. But trust me, maternity photos, especially if this is your first baby, are wonderful mementos of time that flies by so quickly that soon it’ll be a distant memory.
Your maternity session is a celebration of anticipation. We endeavour to make it a lovely experience which is a prelude to a wonderful new beginning. Your bump photos are also about making you look good and we think we’re pretty good at that too! It’s also really important that you feel comfortable and relaxed so we’ll spend time to discuss what type of pictures you are looking for.

What type of pregnancy photos would you like?
There are numerous ways in which we approach your bump photos. Our style craves simplicity and elegance but there’s certainly also plenty of room for fun!
Keeping it Simple
We always recommend that you bring a couple of outfit changes for your maternity photo session. When choosing your outfits it’s best to keep things as simple as possible. A figure hugging black dress is always lovely as are plain blog colours.
Strips also work well as they really show off the bump!
Showing a bit of Bump
The key to maternity photography is subtly. Sometimes just putting on a large shirt half unbuttoned to show off your beautiful bump can look amazing.
This semi-nude style is exactly what Kelly Rowland did with Lance Gross for Elle Magazine and it’s a style we put our own twist on.
Wraps
We have a variety of different materials that you can use to wrap around yourself whist showing off a little bit of bump. This does make for a delightfully different image.
Taking it all off
More often than not our mums to be want the full Demi Moore Vanity Fair look. So if you’re feeling brave then we’ll certainly make you look your very best!
Couples
If you are bringing your partner then we’ll definitely get some great images of the both of you. We do have one rule….if you are taking your clothes off then so does he!
The Whole Family
If this isn’t your first child then why not get the whole family involved in the photo-shoot? There is nothing more adorable than a big sister or brother to be giving mummy’s bump a big hug and kiss!
